I've decided to set myself a 365 day photography project, starting today, and you can see it (and it's rules & terms) on my facebook page. The album is public. Hopefully something good comes of it. Something I deem worthy to post up here! Obviously, there's only one photo up at the time of writing this, but it'll be nice & full in no time!

Two journal entries in a week? What gives there, I wonder!? Anyway, I've set myself up a facebook page over at www.facebook.com/MojographicsI… - I'm trying to get my name out there in terms of my design, etc, and I'd really appreciate it if anyone on here who might be reading this could click "like" on it and share it among their friends. You'd be making this guy very happy, and will hopefully help me to drum up some more business, which is much needed these days.

On the short, almost 8-seconds of time dedicated to Pride on RTÉ News at 9 last night (by their own admission, the biggest event to hit Dublin streets after St. Patrick's Day - which usually gets whole bulletins dedicated to it, despite there usually being a lot more improper behavior and destruction because of it), you could see my placards for MarriagEquality. This gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling! Unfortunately, it's unlikely I'll get any more work out of it, but it does mean a lot of people will have seen what I do! I was out today with my dad in a couple of places around Kildare. He said he wanted to keep the places secret so people wouldn't come along and ruin them, and I can't blame him. Though they are protected places, and provisions have been made to enable access for people, there are still signs about the place of the negative impact left by those who abuse their surroundings. Litter. Fishing gear just strewn across the place. Anyway, I've uploaded a few photos, mostly of various insects. I saw some other bits and pieces - like a vivid, almost metallic blue-green Damselfly, and lots of little frogs, but they were too quick for me to capture. Some of these shots are a bit rough around the edges but that's the nature of wildlife photography I suppose! I'm finding my camera is beginning to slow me down a little bit this weather too. I wish I had some money because it's not the only piece of technology I could do with upgrading - I recently lost a lot of information (including graphic design & photography RAW files) due to the hard-disk on my laptop buying the farm. And my iPhone is also having a lot of trouble keeping away from the light. It's been fairly kiboshed now for about a year but since the iOS 4 update, which is excellent otherwise, the speed of the thing is approaching impossible to manage. So if anyone has vast wads of cash lying about they don't know what to do with, I can easily forward you my address!

After a quick trip over to Poland to visit my ex-pat friend who's teaching English over there, I have made a much-needed gallery update. I went over to the city not really knowing what to expect. It really is a city with many different personalities, but I have to say, I loved my time there. I was lucky to have some really excellent weather (in both extremes - blistering sun and biblical rain with some serious thunder and lightning to go along with it). The people I was with were fantastic - Dave, who I went to see, and Marcin especially, and all the other people I got to meet who were very nice to me. Hopefully I'll make a return soon because I didn't get to do half the stuff I would've liked!
